This is a beautiful book. It has beautiful illustrations, and the story is sweet also. I did not know until reading this book about the tulip mania that happened during Rembrandt's lifetime. It caused me to read a bit more about it. Homeschoolshare has a lapbook to go along with it to use it as a literature unit study with your children.Lovely story and the illustrations are wonderful.I purchased this for a homeschool art study. It is beautiful! And the story is compelling. You won't be disappointed with this purchase.Beautiful illustrations! There is definitely a time for everything, and this also applies to reading. I love reading the Pinkalicious series to my girls. Fancy Nancy is a must. But something must be said about a lovely read and that is what I found in Hana in the Time of the Tulips by Deborah Noyes. Hana is a deceptively simple story about a girl helping her father in 17th century Holland. The relationship that Hana has with Papa is delightfully sweet. The illustrations are stunning; Bagram Ibatouline created an artful masterpiece. There are times when bright and loud are the thing to read, but sometimes a peaceful story is what the mommy ordered. The beautiful illustrations are the real gem of this book. It's a wonderful story too, but the pictures are truly breath taking.beautiful!
